Communicating climate change scenarios to the general public

The Ministry of the Environment, the Environment Research and Technology Development Fund (ERTDF) S-5 “Integrated Research on Climate Change Scenarios to Increase Public Awareness and Contribute to the Policy-making Process” (Climate Scenarios “Experience” Project) has been carried out using findings from various research fields in order to translate and communicate the results of climate change projection models with end-users in mind. In Subtopic 1-7 of this project, interactive discussions held by researchers with the media and the general public, surveys into the awareness of students by holding mock press conferences, and questionnaires issued to the general public were used to study the communication of scientific research data regarding climate change projections.
