Future Earth Special Seminar: Working with Communities Towards a Sustainable Future

Global changes are highly complex. They escalate environmental and socio-economic issues which need to be addressed by collective efforts. The participants will learn from transdisciplinary case studies from different regions and fields. In the seminar, we will also discuss how to make transdisciplinary research projects that use co-design and co-production approaches successful. A guest speaker, Iina Koskinen from Demos Helsinki, introduces a three-year transdisciplinary project on “Failand to Winland” which examines Finnish food and energy security by using co-creation and scenarios.
