IFSFA2017: The 2nd NIES International Forum on Sustainable Future in Asia

The 2nd NIES International Forum on Sustainable Future in Asia (IFSFA2017) will take place in Bali, Indonesia, from 26 to 28 January, 2017.

The conference is organized by National Institute of Environmental Studies (NIES) in collaboration with The University of Tokyo Integrated Research System for Sustainability Science (IR3S), Udayana University (UNUD) and Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) in Indonesia, and Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand.

The forum will seek new ways of building bridges between science and policy through simulating discussions among keys stake holders, catalyzing coherent researchers on relevant policy issues through knowledge networks and institutional mechanisms to support trans-boundary thinking and problem-solving, and determining feasible paths towards truly sustainable societies through converting aspirations into actions at local, national and regional levels.
