HABITAT III Conference Side event “Resilience within Water Systems: The Quest for Strategies and Innovations in the Anthropocene”

On 17 October 2016, IR3S, UNU-ISP and Future Earth co-host a side-event on Resilience within Water Systems: The Quest for Strategies and Innovations in the Anthropocene. The event will be held during the Habitat III, the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development to take place in Quito, Ecuador, from 17 – 20 October 2016.

This side event represents an opportunity to exchange views and experience on issues pertaining to water resiliency in urban environments. The side event will explore science-based concepts and approaches related to strengthening resilience in the context of the urban water environment with the aim of generating specific proposals or ideas leading to action oriented results. The discussion will consist of panel presentations by leading scientists to be followed by an interactive dialogue among all event participants.
