Public Symposium: “Thriving with Nature on Islands: Leveraging Their Multifaceted and Interconnected Characteristics”

The United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability, the Ministry of the Environment of Japan, and the Global Environmental Outreach Center will host “Thriving with Nature on Islands: Leveraging Their Multifaceted and Interconnected Characteristics” a public symposium in commemoration of the International Day for Biological Diversity on 22 March 2014.

The symposium will include a keynote lecture, case reports, and a panel discussion, which will focus on the theme of “Island Biodiversity.”

Please note that this symposium will be conducted in Japanese; English interpretation will not be provided.
